The university is home to a little bit more than 20.000 students. It has a strong focus on digitalisation and technology but also serves as a large initial teacher training institution. Almost all university buildings can be found on its compact campus. The conference itsfelf will take place in a modern building constructed in 2012 (Building L).
Paderborn is a former medieval city with a 1200 year history. Probably the most iconic landmarks of the city are its Cathedral as well as the more than 200 springs in the city centre that give birth to the river Pader, which is infamous for being the shortest river of Germany.
